Week 6

Another changeable week with rain, sleet, snow, sun, and high winds everything really in one week which left the brook high throughout the week so the hope of Wagtails was a none starter.

Birds about this week were the usual Magpie, Jackdaw and Crows along with Song Thrush and, Robins singing in the car parks early morning. Monday saw Black-headed Gull flying over, female Chaffinch in the usual tree along with a Great Tit.  Wednesday I caught sight of a pair of Mallards onto the lower pond just before they took to the air The end of the week ended in a flurry with a nice flock of Siskin approx 15 birds, a Pheasant calling from the wood, Long-tailed Tits and Blue Tits and finally a fly thru Buzzard.
