Week 13

Well winter came back with a vengeance this week with excess amounts of snow and a freezing east winds, all thoughts of spring had soon vanished and the hope of seeing the first summer migrants were put on hold.
Wildlife about this week was the usual Magpie, Jackdaw and Crows, winter thrush made a re-appearance with Redwing, Song Thrush and Blackbirds feeding in groups again. Snow helped in seeing evidence of the Rabbit population, towards the end of the week Robin, Great Tit , Mallard, Pheasant and a Treecreeper braved the chill factor, and still no evidence of summer migrants now over a week late
