Week 37

This week has definitely belonged to the birds with the arrival of Nuthatch and Great Spotted  Woodpecker on site, Blue Tits return along with Robins  again heralding Autumn as they sing out their songs. In the surrounding fields once again could be found Black headed Gulls and Woodpigeons.

Insects have been thin on the ground with only one Speckled Wood butterfly being seen, Hoverflies could still be found mainly Marmalade and Syrphus ribesii, Nettle tap Moths can still being seen around the dying nettle patches along with the returing Spiders
