Week 43

Rain moving in and high winds turned out once again to be a quiet week on the days I did manage to get out on the dinner break.

Birds from the observatory window (Canteen) this week included a Common Buzzard being mobbed as they usually are by Crows and Jackdaws, Grey Wagtail once again on the office roof, and Black headed Gulls, Woodpigeon, Jackdaws and Crows all flying past.

Bird life in the woods this week was also quiet but a Great Spotted Woodpecker was heard calling (not drumming), along with a Nuthatch, and with Blue Tit, Robin and Wren that was about it. A female Pheasant on evening in the car park as I was leaving one evening.
