High winds and rain were the flavour of the week this week but there are always things to find and see and so it was this week, from the Observatory window Grey Wagtail, Sparrowhawk, Woodpigeons, Black headed Gulls, Crows and Jackdaws.
Out in the woods winter flocks seem to be once again forming with Long tailed Tits, Blue Tits and Siskins making the start. A single Redwing was seen, a winter thrush from Scandinavia, along with the familiar Robins and Wrens.
It also turned out to be a ladybird week with various forms seen including Orange 16 Spot and Harlequin along with various nymph cases. Mycena fungi were also found in the nearby field
