Week 13

Nothing new arriving this week maybe with the SE winds coming off Europe next week we may get some new arrivals has the Country now seems to be enjoying them mainly around the coastal areas.

The Chiffchaff was heard calling from several places this week, seems it’s trying to find a suitable breeding spot. Flushed a pair of Blackbirds this week from cover so seems they have a site for the year, Nuthatch has been busy calling from its favourite tree with another Nuthatch seen nearby, Common Buzzards over the nearby woods, a male Sparrowhawk was also seen over the car park this week. a first siting for this year, Small Tortoisehell butterflies about this week. In the woods Treecreepers, Long tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Wren and Robins so things seem to be settling in for the new breeding season, I’m hoping for another good insect year and new finds
