Sorry about the short interlude, have to got to get my holidays in somewhere, found it to be a bit of a shock to the system this week coming back home to minus temps from 30° average temps for two week [you’ll be able to read where I’ve been on the other blog in the next coming weeks]
So whats been happening on week 49 back here in Huddersfield, highlights from this week have been on the bird table Great Tit, Blue tit, Long Tailed Tit , Coal Tit and Chaffinch when they can get on the Squirrels seem to have taken over.
Away from the bird table the winter flocks of Finch and Thrush have returned with Sikin, Fieldfare, Redwing and Blackbird all being seen around the nearby field with Jays and a Great Spotted Woodpecker overhead
Over highlights this week have been fungi with Candle Snuff re-appearing along with a few I’ve yet to ID…if anybody knows please drop a comment thanks
