Week 3

Its been a good week on the bird front despite the weather being very windy this week. The feeders have been very busy this week with again the Blue and Great Tit being high on numbers with Blackbird and Robin taking up the offerings from the floor. Overhead Black headed Gulls have been moving thru this week and I also caught sight of two Common Gulls as well. Back in the woods the returning flock of Siskins can be seen most days and are now seen mostly around their favourite few trees with maybe the odd Goldfinch in with them, Nuthatch  has been heard this week and we’ve had the usual Jackdaw, Crow, and Woodpigeon, flying around. My early morning photography antics this week produced not only some photos but also a male and female Tawny Owl, but the highlight this week goes to the couple of hundred Pink footed Geese going thru battling against the high winds and appearing to go no where at times as the struggled thru in a NW direction
