Week 43

Its been definitely a bird week again with all the action going to the winter birds moving in this week. Redwing flock took residence in the nearby berry bushes along with a few Blackbird,  but the interest was around the finch flocks were there was plenty of Goldfinch and Siskin about, a good look thru one of the Goldfinch flocks on Thursday revealed a single Lesser Redpoll , a new species for site and one I’d been hoping for for a number of years, a great ending for the week

Back around the birdtable the Nuthatch now seem to have gone quiet,  but Great Tit, Blue Tit, Long tailed Tit, Coal Tit,and Robin still remain, with a Great Spotted Woodpecker seen briefly on one occasion
