Oh Dear getting behind with this, here’s the highlights from week 12. Week 12 has to go to the raptors this week with a spectacular sighting on the Tuesday with 6 Common Buzzards and 4 Sparrowhawks in the air all at once, lucky or what!
The rest of the week went to the drumming Great Spotted Woodpecker near the bird-table with noisy Nuthatch’s near by. On the nearby brook were a pair of Grey Wagtail, with in the vegetation, Long tailed Tit, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Robin, Wren, Chaffinch.
No sign of spring migrants as yet but reports of plenty nearby so hopefully the Chiffchaff may return next week, insect life is a no show at the moment, frogs have been spotted in one of the ponds
