Week 15

A better week and we saw a start to the new season witgiving himself away with his bold song, with fresh arrivals this week and insects back on the wing.

The start of the week saw the arrival of the male Blackcap on site giving himself away with his bold song, Chiffchaff remains in support and heard most days this week. Swallows arrived this week with a pair seen most days flying around the site, with one around the nest site on occasion.

Common Buzzard were in seen on and off but seen Monday and Wednesday best days of the week, Nuthatch around the nest site and seen mating at times, Grey and Pied Wagtails could be seen most days around site, around the table Robin, Blackbirds, Jays, Dunnock, Long tailed Tit, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Wren, Goldfinch and Chaffinch.. Great Spotted Woodpecker seen and heard drumming most of the week

Butterfly were back on the wing this week with Peacocks seen Monday and Wednesday the sunny days, with male and female Bee-Fly seen on Wednesday
