Week 22

A cloudy, cold week resulted in very little insect life but the ones that were about were interesting . Firstly a new moth species was found on the “Moth Wall” early Tuesday and remained there all week, the moth in question was a rather non dis-discriptive moth a Yellow-barred Brindle. Along with this was the usual Common Carpet Moth and the Yellow-barred Longhorn Moth both found in new places. Butterflies this week was a single Speckled Wood

Birds action has been mainly around the table with young birds now being seen, especially Robins, Swallows remain active along with Pied Wagtail, Chaffinch, Chiffchaff and Blackcap
