A very quiet week with very little at all to report, so I’d thought I would share this picture this week, yes its a squiggly line, but from what? it’s actually the trial left by what they call a Leaf Miner. This one in particular is of the Bramble Leaf Miner Moth which easily be found in your local bramble patch and is the caterpillar trail of the Moth Stigmella aurella.
The Moth lays the egg inside the leaf where the larva hatches and slowly eats its way along the leaf just below the skin of the leaf and of course the bigger it gets the bigger the trial
