Week 42

Its been a good week on the bird front but very little insect life now as we march onwards to the winter months.

Plenty of ladybirds, mainly Harlequins, can be found at the moment mainly among the bramble patches.

Birds this week have included Great Spotted Woodpecker, Nuthatch, Common Buzzard, Bullfinch, Coal Tit and plenty of Robins around the site, Black headed Gulls and Pheasant in the nearby fields, but as a reminder that winter approach’s a good size flock of Redwing went thru mid-week
