Week 10

A rather spring like week which has resulted in bird species increasing and just hitting the 20 barrier for the first time this year, no insects on the wing as yet and no summer migrants have arrived

The highlights this week being a pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers and a pair of Grey Wagtails and a Coal Tit

The bird table still being the place to see activity with Long tailed Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackbirds, Robin and Pheasant being seen

The woods have started to come to live again with many birds displaying, Nuthatch being the nosiest, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Wren, Dunnock, all giving their songs this week.

Kestrel was a brief delight as it passed thru again mid-week
