Birds

Since December 1998 I have clocked up a species list of 62 birds , highlights being Hobby flying thru being seen off by a group of Swallows, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker in the March of 2007 and again the following year in the March of 2008.

On the Brook we have visits from Grey Wagtail, Dipper and Kingfisher. In the wooded area Nuthatch, Coal Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Blue and Great Tit, Goldcrest, Treecreeper, Robin, Song Thrush, Chaffinch in the winter flocks along with the odd Redwings and Fieldfares. With Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Swallows breeding in the Summer months
